Studio Update: Week of 1/19- 1/25/25
This week I did not make much new work. Mainly I worked on getting things together for Molly and I's upcoming show in Louisville. I had one more plate that I needed to decorate, bisque, and glaze. My timeline of events got shifted a little with the cold front that swept through the studio, making the back studios unworkable for a week or so. The snow and ice from early January really affected how quickly I was able to finish up work for the show. Luckily, Grady Goods was also working off a shifted timeline so our initial January show timeline got pushed to February. We did a walk through of the new gallery space so that we could start planning out our show layout. We knew that we wanted some furniture so we started hunting on facebook marketplace for a rug and some chairs. I think something in the universe really has had our back for this whole show truthfully. The timeline keeps working in our favor, especially with the Gallery pushing our show back due to weather, and we found the PERFECT rug and chairs for install. We got a giant area rug for $50 dollars, when it was originally $350. It was barely used, some rich lady just didn't like how the blue matched the other blues in her home. You got to love facebook marketplace.
