Studio Update: Week of 3/19/23
This was the week of NCECA ( a big clay conference that happened to take place in Cincinnati this year). After almost two semesters of meetings and planning trip details, the conference date had arrived. Alongside the conference, we had a strong showing of IUS postbacs. Max had work in a concurrent exhibition, Molly got work accepted into the NCECA student juried show and won an award, Car hosted a panel on disability and clay and had a concurrent exhibition as well. It was such a cool experience to have so many people to be proud of all within the same week. NCECA itself was overwhelming ( in the best kind of way) and left me feeling inspired and tired and all the things in-between. We did lots of gallery hopping and lots of panels and discussions all revolving around ceramics. The city was filled with ceramic enthusiasts and nerds!
