This week we started install for our show. Monday was the first big push of the week. We got to the gallery at about 8:30 and spent the next 12 hours painting and putting up wallpaper. Our studio mates Emma and Grace came to help us as well. Thank god for them because looking back, they saved us sooooo much time and heartache. We showed them the plan and let them start cutting and painting the walls blue as Molly and I worked on the wallpaper. A life hack for removable wallpaper is to heat Cornstarch in water, this will dry clear and remove with warm water. We pasted about 300 individual sheets of paper to use as wallpaper but you can use this hack with fabric as well! We ordered a pickle pizza for lunch, I'm still thinking about that pizza. At about 4pm Emma and Grace had both left. At that point Molly and I got to work painting some of our mural embellishments. We finished up those embellishments on Thursday as well as starting to hang the work. On Friday we moved all the furniture and got some finishing touches in place. We used my personal coffee table and lamp for the show so my current living room is very bare. This week was fulfilling and exhausting. On Saturday we stopped by to see the grand opening of the space. Grady Goods is such a gem in Louisville and we are both so happy and honored to get to be a part of the new location's opening.
